THE BEST WEEKEND EVER!!!

FRIDAY:
My friends Bess and Andrew left Boise early Friday morning and got into Eugene in the middle of the afternoon. While Andrew slept -- he had gotten very little sleep the night before -- Claire and Bess went to Valley River Center to do some necessary shopping, and I met them there at about 5 p.m. After the mall trip, Claire had some homework to do, so Bess, Andrew, our other friend Melissa and I hung out for a little while at my apartment. After a quick dinner of pizza from Little Caesar's, Claire met us at my apartment and we went ballroom dancing at Gerlinger Hall on campus, hosted by the Oregon Ballroom Dance Club. After a couple of hours of dancing, we went back to my apartment to drop off Bess, who was pretty tired after a long day. Andrew, Melissa and I went to Common Grounds (in Hamilton Complex) for karaoke night.

SATURDAY:
Andrew and Melissa hung out with some other friends during the morning. Bess and I met Claire at her car and we went to David's Bridal, where Bess tried on a bunch of formal dresses (she's one of Claire's bridesmaids.) On the way back to my apartment, we stopped by Albertson's to do some grocery shopping. At about that time, we got a call from Brian saying he was on his way. We ended up surprising Brian at my apartment by distracting him with a Youtube video and Bess came up behind him. Then we went to Shari's for dinner, and Andrew and Melissa met us at Onsen Spas near campus for some hot tubbing.

No, this isn't where we went hot tubbing. And no, it's not mine either (sadly).

Together at last!

SUNDAY:
We had planned to meet for breakfast at 10:30 a.m., but we didn't wake up until then -- none of us had remembered to reset clocks for daylight savings time. We ended up meeting at Carson (buffet in the dorms) for brunch with our friends Adam and Christina. Shortly after breakfast, Andrew and Bess had to leave because they were facing a long drive back to Boise with snow along the way. Brian stayed until about 6:45 p.m., and during that time we scouted out apartment possibilities.*

*Note: Sunday afternoon is not the best time to go apartment shopping if you actually intend to speak to someone. Or, for that matter, if you plan on stopping by State Farm to get a free map.

After a few hours, we went back to my apartment for some ice cream and hanging out, and then Brian had to get on the road back to Newberg and Claire had to go to work. It was way too short, but what a weekend.
